ABOUT THE COASTAL CREATIVE

A boutique coastal brand by artist + designer Sibyl Smith

The Coastal Creative is where my worlds come together — coastal art, handcrafted home décor, inspired design, and the joy of making.

I’m Sibyl, a coastal artist and designer in Virginia, and my work ranges from crushed-glass resin art and oyster shell trees to mermaid window pieces, tidal pool ornaments, bottle stoppers, and seasonally inspired decor.

Beyond the studio, I design digital printables, teach DIY projects, create themed craft kits, and share coastal-inspired ideas through my growing creative community. I also design for magazines, local businesses, makers, and events — always with a love for clean design, nature-inspired palettes, and in many times, coastal storytelling.

The Coastal Creative alcove inside Sutton River Antiques is the first physical space to showcase this full vision — a curated little studio of handmade pieces, limited collections, and small-batch art that reflects the calm, beauty, and creativity of life by the water.
