Watch the video first, then use the written recipe below as your guide.

These brownies are made using a simple box mix and finished with a smooth chocolate shell. They’re perfect for gifting, parties, or just having a fun treat on hand!

Supplies

  • Oven-safe silicone mold

  • Baking sheet (for stability)

  • Cooking spray

  • Spoon

  • Double boiler or microwave-safe cup

  • Baking Sheet for stability

Ingredients

  1. 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)

  2. Chocolate melting discs (or chocolate chips)

  3. Coconut oil (optional, for shine)

Instructions

  •
Mix the brownie batter according to the package instructions.

  • Spray the silicone molds generously with cooking spray.
(Don’t skip this step — it’s key to getting clean releases later!)

  • Spoon the brownie batter into the molds (about half way).
Bake according to the brownie mix instructions.

  • Once baked, be sure to let them cool completely before removing from the molds. I put mine in the fridge to speed things up.

  •
Carefully pop the brownies out.
Wash and scrub the molds thoroughly so there is no brownie residue left.
 Dry the molds completely.

  • Melt chocolate discs using a double boiler or microwave-safe cup.
For extra shine, stir in a small scoop of coconut oil (optional).

  • Spoon melted chocolate into the clean, dry molds.
Spread it around so the entire bottom is coated.

  • Place each brownie back into the mold on top of the chocolate layer. Press down firmly.

  • Put the filled molds on a baking sheet so they stay flat and are easy to move.
Place in the freezer to speed up the chocolate setting.

  • Once the bottoms feel fully cool and set, pop them out of the molds.
They’re now ready for packaging, gifting, or eating!

Tips & Notes

  • Silicone molds must be fully clean and dry before adding chocolate.

  • Coconut oil is optional but adds a nice professional sheen.

  • Freezing helps the chocolate set quickly and cleanly.
